Sadly, Hon Secretary, Phil has decided to step down from the role after twelve years at the end of this year – a role he has undertaken with huge enthusiasm and commitment. This is an enormously important position on which the society exists, so the battle is on to find a replacement.

The job, in case you didn’t know, entails liaising and booking the venues for each months meeting, though all the financial elements are taken care of by our treasurer. So in essence it is a case of phoning prospective golf clubs to book a date, tee time and decide on menus. Obviously any negotiation skills would be an advantage to get the best price but this can all be done by phone.
