This is a superb natural heathland course with fine views, no bunkers and easy walking. It has had extensive re modelling of the greens and removal of much of the gorse and overgrown heather and is now much more “player friendly” !   Middle October is the time of the year when all the golf courses have their greens hollow tined and this includes Piltdown. However, I am assured that this work will have been completed several days before our visit but as an added incentive I have negotiated a “half price” green fee which together with an excellent meal will give us great value for money. October is also the month when we compete for the G B H Trophy, however I will postpone this competition until November in case the greens are not 100 %.  I hope you agree that this is the correct decision and it does not put you off attending at a great venue.

FORMAT;   Coffee /  Tea and Bacon rolls on arrival at MIDDAY with Tee times from 1.00 pm for Tea  & Individual Stableford Golf.

A super two course meal will be served at c 6.30 pm .

The September meet at Chartham Park was disappointingly attended by just 13 players but good competition and mixed weather conditions still produced great results – full details as usual on he website .
