Sweetwoods Park Golf Club opened in 1994 and can count tremendous views across the course of lakes, streams, mature woodland and the old village of Cowden with its imposing Church spire watching over the 4th green, as some of its features.

You are really playing on a piece of history: a roman road under the 1st and 2nd fairways, a wartime airstrip, towering beeches and swathes of oak and birch. The wealth of small lakes and tumbling streams all help to make the course unique in its beauty.

This is a super  and popular parkland course which has undergone extensive improvement in drainage over the last two or three years .

FORMAT:  Coffee / Tea and Bacon Rolls on arrival at 10.00am .

Tee times from 11.00am playing in pairs format for the first silverware of the year  – THE MAD MARCH JUGS.

Current  holders  –  Captain Fred Ablitt and Malcolm Staplehurst.

A two course meal will be served c 4.30 pm .

COST:        £39.00 per person .

DRESS CODE:  Smart Casual.

The February meeting was won by Phil Herbert scoring 37pts ( that’s my luck for the year !! ) and the team competition by Phil, Clive Butler and Tony Bruce !  Full results and pics as usual on the website .
