Captains Day
Dear MGS Members and guests
I am sure you are looking forward to Captain’s day tomorrow at Singing Hills Golf Club – BN6 9EB. The running order has been drafted for the day, all subject to last minute unforeseen changes as always!!
The same groups and running order will be used for both the morning and afternoon competitions as follows:-

Tee off times start at 10:32 and 13:28. However, please be ready at the tee at least 5 mins before your allocated slot and please avoid slow play on the course wherever possible – we do have a packed day to get through.
Five Competitions are up for grabs:
Morning – 9 hole Team Texas Scramble on the Valley Course – suggested format * below for this 9 hole comp:-
- 3% of combined fourball team handicap to be deducted from gross score on completion – 2 drives must be used per person
- 6% of combined threeball team handicaps to be deducted from gross score on completion – 3 drives must be used per person
Afternoon – 18 holes of competitive Stapleford on the Rivers & Lakes courses.
- Individual Stapleford over 18 holes off full society handicaps
- Team – Best 2 Stapleford scores from 3 over 18 holes (with one player (on rota) not counting on each hole within the fourball as usual)
- Longest Drive – Hole 6 on (Rivers Course)
- Nearest the Pin – Hole 2 on (Lakes Course)
NB: The same Team cannot win both am and pm Team prizes and no individual can win both the Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin.
Coffee/ Tea and Bacon rolls available from 9:30
Individual and Team Cards should be available by 10(am) & 1(pm)
