GBH Trophy at Dale Hill – 19 September
The Ian Woosnam Course was constructed in 1995 and opened in 1997. The course has gained the reputation as being one of the finest courses in the South East. Designed by the former Masters and Ryder cup Captain, the Ian Woosnam course covers nearly 200 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside.
Constructed to USGA Specifications, the greens provide excellent putting surfaces all year around.
Since 2005 Leaderboard golf has invested heavily in the drainage of the course which has seen an improvement in the general playability all year round.
The course has a par of 71 for both men and ladies and starts with a 602 yard par 5 to wet your appetite. Once reaching the 5th hole the course opens up and the views are spectacular.
The long rough positioned around the course demands accuracy off the tee and the quick greens require a steady nerve.

GBH Trophy – This is a pairs competition.
Each team will play as a pair and record the best stableford score for that pair on each hole i.e. Player 1 scores 2 stableford points and the other 3 stableford points on a hole – the team score is the highest of the two so 3 stableford points count towards the GBH competition.
In addition, a “joker” is available for each player that can be played on one hole, and one hole only (NB: each team member can select a hole of their choosing which may well be different to their playing partner). Before teeing off the player should inform his playing partners that they will be playing their joker on this hole. That players then scores doubled for that one hole. Please mark the card to show where each joker was used.
Individual Stableford Competition
In addition, please could each pair record their individual scores on the team card which will be entered into the player of the year competition and may also win a prize as the Best Individual Stableford score for the day (off full society handicaps without the joker doubling up !!).
