East Sussex National – 19 June
East Sussex National Golf Club is one of the best golf courses in the area. The club features two unique championship golf courses that have been played on by some of the most well-known names in golf, including Sir Nick Faldo and Colin Montgomerie.
The Club hosted the 1993 & 1994 European Opens and was a regional Open qualifying venue between 2010 -2014.
The West Course meanders through ancient oak trees, alongside quiet pools, and rippling streams. The par 72 West Course stretches 7,154 unforgettable yards.

- Format: Tea/coffee + bacon rolls on arrival
A good turnout of 28 players will competing for the two trophies.
Strokeplay Shield
The current holder is Andy Williams who won it last year on his home course – The Neville. This competition is for society members with a handicap equal to or below 17. Players are respectfully also asked to record their stableford score as this will count towards the player of the year trophy (best 4 scores during the calendar year)
Stableford Shield
The current holder is now competing in the strokeplay shield – John Collingwood. This is an 18-hole stableford competition off full society handicaps for members with a handicap of 18 or more.

Three stableford scores from the teams of 4 count for this competition.

Tee times start at 10.30 – please be at the tee and ready to go 5 mins before your tee off time. In addition, please do your very best to keep up with the team in front and not aim to be just ahead of the group behind – Please do avoid slow play at all times – we should aim to complete our rounds comfortably within 4 hours 15 mins.
