Captain’s Day………The Final countdown
Good morning Gents,
Just a couple of days to go before this years Captain’s Day event to be held at Dalehill on the challenging Woosnam Course. We’ll be meeting in the ‘18th Bar/Restaurant at 12.30 on Friday for coffee, bacon rolls and card collection ahead of the first tee time of 13.30. This years competitions include :-
A team Stableford where you will count 1 score from 3 for the first 6 holes, 2 scores from 3 for next 6 holes and then all scores for the final holes……….it’s a good tension – builder!
An Individual Stableford competition with prizes in 2 handicap categories (1-20…..the MGS Hotshots, and 21- 28,….the MGS Gents)
Nearest The Pin competitions will be on Hole 7 for the MGS Hotshots and Hole 5 for MGS Gents.

The Longest Drive competitions will be held on Hole 13 for MGS Hotshots and Hole 14 for the MGS Gents.
So, lots to play for and let’s hope the weather is kind to us. When you walk triumphantly off the 18th Green, make your way to the Changing Rooms (Code 1952), where towels are provided, and then into main golfers bar, prior to dinner which is served back up in the 18th Bar/Restaurant.
Just time for a few more buckets of balls at the Driving Range and a few more chips and putts to finesse your game and then we’re off, with Fred determined to retain the Captain’s Trophy!
