Captains Day – Order of Play – July 2024 – Sweetwoods GC
Captain Chris warmly welcomes you to this Captains Day Event at Sweetwoods. A few surprises along the way including a putting competition at the end of your round, where you will need to bring your putter and two balls and try and be nearest the pin (or sink it) in front of the clubhouse crowd down a very slippery and tricky slope !!
Sweetwoods, a Par 72, 18 Hole Parkland course which forces you to consider every shot. Dramatic tee shots, challenging approaches and fast, undulating greens makes the course both challenging and memorable. Rated as one of Sussex’s best courses set amidst the stunning woodland landscape and a number of natural lakes on 9 of the 18 Holes, it offers a test to players of all abilities.

Format: Tea/coffee + bacon rolls on arrival, 18-hole individual Stableford for the Freddy Jones Foundation Cup with a one course meal to finish
A very good turnout of 26 players will competing for the Freddie Jones Foundation Cup (Captains Day) currently held by Mr Kelvin Paterson.

| Freddie Jones Foundation Cup | 18-hole individual stableford competition off full society handicaps. This will include a joker that can be played on one hole to double your score – the joker must be nominated before teeing off on the hole in which it is played!! NB: As this is a trophy event please putt out – no gimmies – sorry. |
| Team | One, Two, Three Team event: Best score only counting on first 6 holes, best two on the next 6 and all three counting on the last 6 (no pressure). Usual “battleships” one player misses out on each hole for teams of four. |
