The weather forecast looks good for Thursday – dry and relatively warm. A good turnout of 27 this month which is pleasing as we are firmly into the Autumn season weather wise.  

Westerham Golf Course encompassing established forestry and offers stunning views over the undulating Kent North Downs, Westerham is a superb par 72 course in excess of 6,000 yards and built to a high standard with USGA specification greens and irrigation, allowing play 12 months of the year. Tree lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers and three beautiful water features makes this a fantastic test for any standard of golfer and the exceptional design and maturity of the course has gained it a reputation as a ‘thinking man’s course’ (Oh Dear oh dear !!). Lasting memories of the course will likely revolve around the ‘eye of the storm’ 11th – a par 3 with daunting pine trees and bunkers protecting a small green or the closing hole which brings you back to a grandstand finish in front of the clubhouse (see above).

Format:  Tea/coffee + bacon rolls on arrival, 18 hole individual and team Stableford competitions, one course meal to finish

Order of play

Tee times start at 10am – please be at the tee and ready to go 5 mins before your tee off time.  Please keep up with the team in front and not aim to be just ahead of the group behind – Please do avoid slow play at all times – we should complete our rounds comfortably within 4½ hours.
