Mannings Heath
Greetings from a waterless Mayfield to our many readers!
Despite the generally rubbish weather, the Society has had an excellent start to the year, with another great day at Lewes in February. Captain Cudmore’s notorious washouts are now but a distant memory….
March’s meeting is a subsidised event, which means we get to play a course which is outside our informal £50ph limit. Last year we went to East Sussex National, this year we’re off to the stunning Waterfall Course at the Mannings Heath Golf Club and Wine Estate. Details as below:
Venue: Mannings Heath Golf Club and Wine Estate, Hammerpond Rd, Mannings Heath, Horsham, W Sussex RH13 6PG. Tel 01403 220345 www.manningsheath.com
Date: Friday 16 March 2018
Time: 12:15 for 13:00 first tee off
Format: Tea/coffee + bacon rolls on arrival, 18 hole Stableford pairs competition for the Mad March Jugs. One course meal to finish. Dress for meal: smart casual.
Cost: £50 per head
I’m off to Austria skiing on Saturday, so won’t be able to join you this time (yes, bad planning on my part, I know). It would be helpful if you could respond asap please, so that I can indicate numbers to the club. I will have access to emails there, of course, but as that’ll be apres the apres ski, anything could happen!
Please confirm your attendance by email to bookings@mayfieldgolfingsociety.com by close of business Mon 12 March latest, and transfer your payment to the MGS account in the usual way.
The returned and rejuvenated (but poorer) Cap Clive will welcome you next week, and we look forward to a high turnout for the first silverware event of the year.
