Good Friday at Dale Hill (Woosnam Course)

We look forward to seeing you at Dale Hill on Friday which is proving a very popular venue for our members.  We have 23 signed up for this event with the weather forecast looking very nice (sunny spells a gentle breeze and 18 degrees) which will get all our Easter festivities off to great start.  The course by all accounts is in great condition so it should be a very enjoyable day.

The Ian Woosnam Course was constructed in 1995 and opened in 1997. The course has gained the reputation as being one of the finest courses in the South East. Designed by the former Masters and Ryder cup Captain, the Ian Woosnam course covers nearly 200 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside. Constructed to USGA Specifications, the greens provide excellent putting surfaces all year around. The course has a par of 71 for both men and ladies and starts with a 602-yard par 5 to whet your appetite. Once reaching the 5th hole the course opens up and the views are spectacular.

The important draw for Friday is set out below and as always is subject to change.  Of note is that Hon Sec David H will not be with us as he is recuperating from a skiing mishap but has again made all the arrangements for this event for which we are very grateful – hopefully we will see him back on the course in a couple of months: –

Please be at the tee and ready to go 5 mins before your tee time and I respectfully suggest we should be aiming to be back in the clubhouse with a pint in hand inside 4 ½ hours. Please keep up with the group in front and not just be comfortable with being slightly ahead of the group behind!
