Dewlands, AGM and Xmas bash
It’s that time of year already, can you believe!
Hot on the heels of a very enjoyable though rather foggy day at Willingdon, I am now pleased to be able to confirm details of our year end showcase event:
Venue: Dewlands Manor Golf Club, Cottage Hill, Rotherfield TN6 3JN. tel: 01892 852266 and The Middle House, High St, Mayfield
Date: Friday 14 December 2018
Format: 9 hole Texas Scramble followed by 9 hole individual Stableford for the Last Chance Trophy
Prizes: Best hat/funny jumper on the day (Captain’s decision, no appeals); Texas Scramble team 1st and 2nd; individual 1st, 2nd, 3rd; Team 1st; LD and NTP
Cost: £50 per head
PLEASE KEEP MOVING ALONG on the course, not just in order to stay warm, but as we have a lot to fit in. We need to sit down at MH no later than 2:30pm.
PROGRAMME for the day:
0800 first group tee off for Texas Scramble. Micky will post the draw on the website, with locals off first
1000 tea/coffee bacon rolls in clubhouse, on rolling basis. Please do not linger!
1020 first group tee off for Last Chance Trophy, play in same groups. After completing the round, return home for showers/change or use clubhouse facilities
1430 Christmas meal in the new Brasserie restaurant, Middle House. Dress Code: jackets and ties
1600/1630 AGM
1730 vacate restaurant, adjourn to bar
Can you please confirm whether you can attend by email to bookings@mayfieldgolfingsociety.com by return, or by Friday 30 November latest, as I need to advise the Middle House of numbers and menu choices, and transfer your payment to the MGS account in the usual way.
