The best day weather wise of the year so far with most players wearing shorts in mid- April – Mr Tippett’s shorts were worthy of particular mention as they sported a pre-Raphaelite watercolour design by Milliase!!
The society welcomed Mr David Head (guest) to his first MGS event and to the return of Mr Fred Ablitt and Mr Kevin Weaver back in to the fold after a short period of absence. The society found the course in good shape with the average score being a very solid 31.55. Twenty players battling it out for the Mad March Jugs trophies which is a pairs Stableford competition with the added twist of a yellow ball doubling the score of one of the two players whist in play!
Sweetwoods GC hosted us very well with the day ending with the best two course meal in recent MGS memory – finishing off a very enjoyable day.
