Crowborough results
Pat Layen uses a little bit of local knowledge to win by 3 points at Crowborough Beacon Golf Club
The society welcomed back John Collingwood for his first outing of the year. What a fantastic morning for golf with blue skies overhead, a light breeze and a mild temperature – a perfect November day with stunning Autumn views across Sussex. The society generally found the course a tough challenge with the average score being just 26.2.
Pat a member at Crowborough played the back nine holes in a gross 38 (+2) with an almost faultless back nine. Several other strong society players struggled on a course where if you stray too far from the fairway you are punished in the heather and rough.
