Chris Buck who is not a big fan of this course or so he says !!! scores 41 points to win at the Weald of Kent

We had good weather following the torrential rain the day before on our society day at the Weald of Kent.  The greens were in excellent condition however the ditches often placed at circa 180 yards off the tee were somewhat annoying at times.  Overall, the feedback from the attendees was that it was a good and enjoyable day with the fly past by four F16s welcoming Mike Pettit as a guest and Kelvin back to his first meeting since January was good to see and a bit noisy.  I can confirm that Kelvin’s return was not just because we needed an experienced tosser for “heads and tails” after the meal.  That said what a tosser catching 6 out of 6 spins of the coin.  We had 20 players with the average stableford score being 33.68 the highest of the year so far – that said we have Seaford next month which also tends to be high scoring!!

Congratulations goes to Chris Buck who won the individual honours on the day picking up his winnings in a very nice shirt, if I may say so, with an excellent round of golf edging out Andrew Burnett by just one shot.
