A close competition with a single putt or chip separating the top four with Graham Meadows taking the spoils on a hard day at the golf office at Willingdon

We had the best day of the week weather wise which was fantastic and despite the torrential rain earlier in the week the course was in excellent condition – dry under foot and with good well drained greens. Attendance was again good with 18 members and a guest turning up for a course we have not played for a while as a society.  Speaking to the members after the round the thoughts on the course were a little marmite in nature – with the course condition being a real positive but a few potentially dangerous crossover holes being the negative. A big welcome to Rex Dinnage attending as a guest of James Gallifant for the first time (lets hope that didn’t put him off – just joking !!).

Individual Stableford Result

Congratulations goes to Graham Meadows edging a win over three players in second place all having a score of 34 and a back nine count back of 17 that could only be separated on a back 6 count back if that was needed but let’s not worry about that for this report as Graham pipped them for first place anyway by a single point.
